About the studio

Creative work made with purpose

Unbound Joy Studio is a North Portland design and production studio creating original goods and custom work for artists, educators, small businesses, events, and community organizations. From branding, print materials, and websites to stickers, signs, apparel, and merchandise, I help turn ideas into things people can see, share, wear, and use.

02 · Origin

It started with a sticker

I wanted custom stickers for a math education conference, but ordering them was outside my budget. So I learned to make them myself. That first project grew into new skills, better equipment, original products, client work, and eventually Unbound Joy Studio.

Dori Isakson

they/them · Designer · Maker · Educator

I hold a master's degree in elementary math education and spent more than ten years teaching in classrooms. Today I run Unbound Joy Studio and Unbound Potential Learning Labs side by side.

I read every project request personally, do the design work, and handle production in my own studio space. At treeHAUS gallery I sell what students and I make, meet with clients to plan projects, and host workshops and events.
